Primary school SEN teacher jobs can either focus on teaching a class from the Early Years phase, with children aged between 3 and 5 or primary phase, with pupils aged 5 to 11. Primary school SEN teachers will stay in one class, teaching subjects like English, maths, science, music and art to pupils cognition and learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health challenges, sensory/physical impairments, communication and interaction challenges such as Autistic spectrum disorder. All SEN teachers receive a SEN allowance in addition to a usual salary.
