To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role you must be an active graduate who has a second-class degree at the very least and practice working with SEN children. You should be able to support your pupils through education by having high expectations of them and helping them reach their full potential. You will provide an articulate style of communication and a warm and welcoming nature.
About the Learning Support Assistant Role
In this Year 3 Learning Support Assistant post you will be working primarily on an individual basis with a Year 3 student who has a statement of ASD. However, there are 3 other students who have additional needs that you will also be working with. In order to aid your progression, the SLT are keen to assess you and help develop any areas you are struggling with in order to continue your professional development. You will be led by a committed Special Educational Needs Coordinator who will offer you plenty of support including 1 on 1 sessions where your progress will be evaluated, and your skills developed.
