This ASD Teaching Assistant Post is suited towards graduates who above all else wish to inspire children to achieve their full potential by taking a personal, pupil-centred approach. The school are seeking a graduate who is enthused at the opportunity to work with any pupil (especially those with SEN and EAL) to contribute towards future ambitions of becoming a Chartered Psychologist or Fully Qualified Teacher.

** £300.00-£350.00 per week salary
This ASD Teaching Assistant post will see you work 1:1 with a pupil in a Year 1 who is on the Autistic Spectrum. The role will require you to manage the pupil’s behaviour and create a development plan for each individual to ensure that they make academic and social progress against targeted levels. The ASD Teaching Assistant will be involved in regular meetings with class teachers and the school SENCo there will be an opportunity to complete training within and with outside agencies.
The pupil who you will be working with is an energetic child who is quick and needs someone who can keep up with them and keep them safe. The pupil does have tantrums therefore the school are looking for a TA who is going to be firm but model good behaviour. The pupil can be unresponsive verbally therefore patience is key for this role as there will be repetition, the school are looking for a creative TA who is self-directed and can work under their own initiative.
