Your role as a Primary Teaching Assistant will be to support SEN pupils inside and out of the classroom as well as leading Reading and Writing intervention sessions.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting with the school SENCO in a general capacity, across the school. Any class that will need your support as a Teaching Assistant, will require you to help the individual needs of SEN students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will gain a full understanding of the challenges and rewards of being a teacher through taking on multiple duties in this flexible, constantly changing the post. Your Teaching Assistant role will require you to mentor students in a 1:1 capacity and lead a series of booster and intervention sessions to tackle difficult topics.
