The SENCO of an inclusive Primary School in Haverhill are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to pupils with ASD and ADHD.
*** Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant position located in Haverhill
*** Working alongside a supportive and dedicated SENCO
*** Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to students with ASD and ADHD
*** Specific responsibilities for two Year 4 pupils and one Reception pupil
*** £60-£70 per day depending on specific responsibilities
*** Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant position until July 2020 initially
*** Ideal for aspiring Psychologists or Teachers seeking classroom experience
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have a genuine interest in working with SEN pupils and helping them to develop strong interpersonal, academic and social skills. You will be a firm believer that all pupils can achieve a fantastic education and will work hard and creatively to remove as many barriers to learning as possible to help make this a reality.
This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve you helping the school’s SENCO with intervention sessions each morning. You will be working alongside small groups of pupils with SEN to help them to fully access the curriculum. The afternoons will see you supporting in a Teaching Assistant role, helping the students to remain focused and driving forward the content of lessons. The balance between in-class experience and the wider context of safeguarding and child protection will stand you in good stead for future careers within SEN.
