SEN Teaching Assistant Person Specification
This post requires a capable graduate who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and earned a second class degree or better. You will be able to show a real passion for education and confidently deal with and defuse any challenging situations. You should be able to show evidence of your ambition to succeed and showcase a passion for supporting SEN pupils. The school want to meet applicants who have a solid understanding of their specialist subject and the energy to contribute to after school clubs.
About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role
In this SEN Teaching Assistant position you will be supporting the progress of a Year 2 boy who has a statement of ASD. Your duties will include striving to improve your skills and knowledge from your first day and the school will offer first class support in this area through its well established and successful CPD sessions. You will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the constant innovation taking place within the KS1 department. Like the other staff you will be given plenty of support from a friendly Special Educational Needs Coordinator who enjoys helping budding teachers find their feet.
