***Supporting 11-16 year olds who have ASD and ADHD
***Working as a Class Teaching Assistant and delivering 1:1 and small group interventions

SEN Teaching Assistant - Newmarket - Job Specification
You will be an empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant who has at least received a 2:1 in your degree and ideally have experience supporting children or young adults with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. You will have an enthusiastic, patient and resilient mind-set and a keen interest in developing your SEN understanding. You will be a conscientious individual who can talk with ease and confidence to everyone in the school community, be that pupils, teaching staff or parents.
About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role
In this exciting SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will be moving throughout the school to support the individual learners within your care. In supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and other communication barriers you will be able to develop the correct approach to working with those who exhibit different Special Educational Needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be playing a supportive role in the pastoral development of the special education needs students you will be working with. You will be helping SEN students to progress their studies by acting as an academic mentor.
