For this post you should be a thoughtful graduate who has already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children and achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree. It is essential for you to possess the ability to convey your passion for teaching and learning and a desire to work closely within special educational needs. You will be a graduate who can show good communication skills and challenge those and inspire. The right applicant will have the drive to seek out developmental opportunities and leadership responsibilities and an enthusiast character.
About the Teaching Assistant Role
In this Teaching Assistant post you will be working primarily on an individual basis with a Year 2 student who has been identified as on the Autism Spectrum. The KS1 department has an inclusive ethos that has been installed by a passionate HoD. This school places a heavy emphasis on training, and as such you will receive ample opportunities to develop your skillset and pedagogical knowledge.
This school is an outstanding primary found in Hounslow and is accessible via Hatton Cross Station on the Piccadilly Line and all local bus routes.
