This is a special school for students with physical and learning disabilities and is an outstanding opportunity for a graduate to become fully involved in school life and further their career within Special Educational Needs as an SEN Learning Support Assistant.
This role of SEN Learning Support Assistant requires a Graduate who ideally has experience in a school setting and experience supporting SEN children, although this is not essential. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant you must show the ability to devote yourself to school endeavours and show a keen interest in the career of teaching. You will have the SEN Learning Support Assistant skills to build rapport with pupils that allow you to become an important link between them and the Teacher.
This SEN Learning Support Assistant position involves supporting within a number of classes of no more than 8 SEN students. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will play a large part in the success of SEN pupils achieving their aims, guiding them through their academic and social targets and preparing them for the next stage in education.
