To be considered for this role you must be a caring graduate who has previous experience working with children in a volunteer or paid role and will have earned at least a 2:2 in your degree. The successful Secondary Learning Support Assistant will show genuine compassion for pupils and step up to the plate when faced with new tasks.
Secondary Learning Support Assistant Role
As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, your role will involve supporting learning in a general capacity, across the school to a variety of pupils with different abilities. Day-to-day, you will be leading targeted sessions for pupils with SEN who benefit from the extra support in both academic and social skill development. The Secondary Learning Support Assistant will be enhancing their teaching repertoire through exciting CPD sessions that are attended by all members of staff here and no matter what your background and amount of experience the school will ensure you are amply supported in many ways including providing you with a mentor who is hugely respected in the school.
