You must be a committed Science graduate who has a degree at a 2:2 or better and a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience. You must have the skills to use your enthusiastic character to engage pupils and demonstrate good subject knowledge. You should have the ability to relate to pupils of all backgrounds and abilities.
About the Science Learning Mentor Role
In this exciting Science Learning Mentor position you will be supporting within small groups in the science department. In general, you will be taking groups of students of particularly low or high ability and acting as their learning mentor. Day-to-day, you will be equipping SEN pupils with the academic and personal skills required to confidently embark on the next stage of education.
