Person Specification - GRADUATES TO APPLY
The school are looking for a personable graduate who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and has the ability to empathise with their pupils. You must show the ability to keep your students motivated using your happy manner and positive approach to learning. It is essential for you to possess a welcoming personality that encourages pupils and teachers to warm to you and build great relationships. We want to recruit a graduate who has the skills to support their pupils through education by having high expectations of them and helping them reach their full potential.
About the Role - PRIMARY SEN Teaching Assistant
In this Primary SEN Teaching Assistant post you will be working within a specific class based on school need and your own preferences. This role involves you working with SEN students and learn exceptional teaching techniques from a SENCO who is also an experienced mentor. Part of your role will include working in a supportive culture enabled by the multi-skilled Special Educational Needs Coordinator. Your responsibilities will include aiding the development of students through 1:1 and group sessions outside of the classroom environment.
