This is an exciting opportunity to support the whole DT department, so any degree in this field is accepted (product design, material sciences etc) as long as you are a passionate advocate for DT and its importance for young learners and their careers.

This Outstanding school sits on a beautiful, spacious campus in a desirable area of North London.
You will have fantastic training from day one as a ?Product Design Trainee Teacher and the support of experienced professionals within the department, working alongside teachers, technicians and a very approachable Head of Department.
The DT department has six specialised classrooms. There are two classrooms in the resistant materials / systems and control / graphics area, which have been refurbished and include a suite of design computers and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Computer Aided Machines (CAM) including a laser cutter and milling machine. The textiles rooms are equipped with CAD CAM machinery including a dye sublimation printer and computerised sewing machine. There is a particular emphasis on STEM within the school, which works in partnership with external enterprises to allow pupils within various department, including DT, to develop life skills for further education and successful careers. The school is looking for a ?Product Design Trainee Teacher who is keen to encourage learners to explore these avenues, as well as having the skills and knowledge to assist with the practical elements of the curriculum such as Resistant Materials / Product Design (metalwork, woodwork, electronics, plastics).
