You should have a positive outlook who enjoys variety in your work and an inspirational approach to teaching. You must show the ability to create a purposeful learning experience for your pupils and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum. You should have the capability to deal with poor behaviour quickly and efficiently so that progress can be made in each lesson.
About the Physics Early Careers Teacher Role
As a Physics Early Careers Teacher you will be teaching as part of a high-achieving Science Department and you will be teaching with the support of an able Teaching Assistant. In general, you will be benefitting from some excellent teaching resources and keeping academic improvement on track. The department is fortunate to have some outstanding resources and funding at its disposal, all with the goal of raising attainment within the department. You will have the responsibility of enrolling on the school's CPD plan that makes sure all teachers are provided with a career direction and helps them improve their practice. You will be introduced to life at the school in your time and at your own pace by a welcoming and friendly team who will be on hand to help you find your feet and answer any initial questions you might have.. Work with students in KS3 and 4, preparing them for their Science GCSEs at the end of the academic year. Your duties will include working closely with a dedicated mentor during your time at the school and working alongside some top of the range resources.
