As a Maths NQT your aim will be to improve week by week your teaching, slowly becoming an important member of this highly supportive Maths Department. It will be a key focus for the successful Maths NQT to deliver engaging lessons through the use of specialist subject software in class and in the ICT suite. The Maths Department has employed the use of interactive whiteboards to assist with it's long term learning strategy of improving exam achievement and pupil engagement. The school offer a borough coordinated induction programme, which aims to extend your knowledge of good teaching practice through a series of continued professional development opportunities.
As a Maths NQT you will be teaching this core subject at GCSE and A-Level to a variety of abilities. It will be your challenge to enhance all pupils understanding of all areas of the Maths curriculum. The Head Teacher is keen to support any Maths NQT to develop in this area and you will be assigned an approachable Outstanding Maths teacher to guide you through this key year.
The school offers you an environment that is well-equipped and modern, allowing good practice to merge with state-of-the-art resources. This helps to create an interactive, stimulating learning space that should inspire young minds in all subjects.
