We are pleased to be working in partnership with an innovative Ipswich based Secondary School who are looking to appoint a talented Maths Graduate who can provide effective support within their Maths department throughout this coming academic year:
***Maths Graduate required for an expanding secondary school in Ipswich
***Role commences from September 2019
***Maths Teaching Assistant/Maths Mentor/Maths Intervention Tutor/Maths Instructor
***£65 - £88 per day (dependent on role)
***Long Term, Full-Time Maths Graduate post
***You MUST hold a Maths based degree with a 2:2 or above. Those with Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics degrees are all encouraged to apply

The successful Maths Graduate will have a passion for Mathematics that they are eager to share with others. You do not need to have any previous experience working in a school-based environment as training and support is provided however any previous experience working with the 11-16 age range would be advantageous.
The successful Maths Graduate will be motivated to start a career as a Maths Teacher and would benefit and appreciate a year working within a Maths department to strengthen their knowledge of lesson planning, lesson delivery, behaviour management, marking and assessment.
As a Maths Graduate you will initially start out as a Teaching Assistant/Academic Mentor whilst getting to grips with the school’s processes and policies. You will be communicating topics to students on a 1:1 basis; helping them to overcome any barriers to learning. In time, you will be tasked with planning and delivering your own small group intervention sessions with the ultimate aim of leading your own lessons prior to the end of the placement. You will be allocated a mentor who will support you throughout your time at the school.
Having completed this role for an academic year, there will be opportunities to explore remaining at the school and commencing your teacher training from September 2020.
