About the Role
This Secondary Learning Support Assistant role involves you working to support the progression and development of a Year 9 boy who has additional needs. The SENCO has informed me that the boy is very bright academically, but seems to lose concentration within the classroom at certain points of the day, and can become disruptive for the rest of the class. So they need an articulate graduate to work with him on a full time basis across all subjects keeping him on track, and being firm when he decides he doesn't want to follow what the rest of the class is meant to be doing. This student has no verbal or physical challenging behaviour so the role would suit a male or female graduate.
A well-liked secondary, this school is found in Westminster, Central London and is a 2 minute walk from a main line tube station. It enjoys an envious relationship with the local community and is committed to an inclusive approach to learning. Thanks to the dedication of everyone at the school and the forward thinking approach of the leadership team the school have received an 'Outstanding' grade from OfSTED. It is well equipped to provide training and development for all staff and is very popular, often oversubscribed.
