This Learning Support Assistant role requires a directed and passionate graduate who has already had experience working or volunteering with children and has the ability to communicate with pupils of varying abilities. As a Learning Support Assistant you should have a desire to learn and develop your teaching skills in this school, you must be able to establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them in accordance with their individual needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be supporting across the entire phase. This Learning Support Assistant position involves providing group booster and intervention sessions for groups of students and helping others one to one. Part of your role as Learning Support Assistant will include supporting SEN pupils through the academic, social and personal elements of school life. As Learning Support Assistant you will be working closely with the class teacher to plan lessons which incorporate the use of the classroom resources. Additional responsibilities in this Learning Support Assistant role will include creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans, and you will assist in creating stimulating displays and managing resources.
