• About the Role
This KS1 Teaching Assistant role involves you supporting classes as and when needed within the KS1 phase.
Once you are settled in the role you will be offered the chance to plan and lead your own extra-curricular activity in an area you think the pupils will enjoy. You will help the teacher plan a variety of lessons, making each one fun and engaging whilst ensuring that it is accessible for pupils of all abilities.
Your duties will include acting as a mentor for your pupils, taking some out of lessons for 1:1 tuition and teaching others in group sessions.
The SLT are happy to provide mentors for all support staff, yours will be a talented Senior Teacher who can inspire graduates new to teaching through gentle encouragement and setting a great example of how teaching ought to be done.
