This role would suit a lively graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and a long history of academic success that includes a 2:2 or better in your degree. You will have the skills to bring a sincere positivity and enthusiasm that can help to inspire your students. Your portfolio will include the ability to create positive relationships and a love for your specialist subject.
This KS1 Teaching Assistant role involves you helping to add another element to class learning within KS1 exclusively and you will be leading activities inside and outside the classroom for SEN pupils. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be progressing your teaching technique by immersing yourself into the school first-class bespoke CPD programme which will ensure any areas you feel need work are targeted and improved. As well as general classroom support, you will be given pupils to work with on a 1:1 basis. You will have an opportunity to lead an art or sports club, contributing to the wider life of the school and improving your own portfolio. You will be joining a school that understands the importance of support and shall be assigned a dedicated Class Teacher mentor. This KS1 Teaching Assistant role will see you join a creative department where innovation and originality are strongly encouraged, as such it is hoped that you can bring your own imaginative style of teaching to the team.
