Each year this school appoints graduates to join their support team in a combination of Intervention Mentor and Cover Supervisor roles. This September 2019, the school are aiming to appoint an Intervention Tutor to provide additional academic support, if successful they would like to take that individual on to their initial teacher training programme from September 2020. If you have graduated with a Maths or Science related degree and have the ambition to train as a teacher, this school will provide the perfect setting along with expert training and development to kick-start your teaching career whilst you work.
The Intervention Tutor role will see you providing specialised 1:1 and small group support for pupils working to a lower ability with the aim of raising attainment. You will be trained and supported to plan and deliver Maths / Science intervention sessions, mark and assess work, and track and report on progress. The school are looking for a driven and self-motivated graduate that will be flexible in order to support the school in its varying needs.
