About the Role
As a Humanities Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting teaching and learning throughout the Humanities Department and you will be meeting the individual requirements of SEN pupils. You will be assisting the teacher in the creation and preparation of an exciting lesson plan. Part of your Teaching Assistant role will include receiving ample training and professional development opportunities through a scheme specifically designed to give support staff greater insight into what makes an ‘Outstanding’ teacher. In this post you will be experiencing the inner workings of the school as you are guided by the fantastic Head of Humanities. Responsibility will be given to you to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide them with extra support in the curriculum. You will be impressing your colleagues with the hope of gaining a placement on the School Direct programme with the school.
