At A-level (where the successful History NQT will occasionally teach) the syllabus is much broader. Topics vary but include the ‘Tudors and Stewarts’ as well as ‘Modern Political History’, which encompasses the 19th and early 20th centuries, from the ‘repeal of the corn-laws’ to the first Labour government.
