This History Graduate Teaching Assistant position would suit an aspiring History teacher who is looking to gain vital experience and skills before applying for a PGCE or School Direct programme. The school would like to meet with a History Graduate with a 2.1 or higher in their degree.
Your role as a History Graduate Teaching Assistant will involve working within the student support department supporting pupils across all key stages with a focus on supporting those students taking History at GCSE level. As a History Graduate, Teaching Assistant you will be asked to support pupils with SEN as well as leading small groups of students and leading lessons. You will have a History teacher on hand who will act as your mentor at the school helping you to gain an insight into the life and role of a Teacher.
