***Supporting 4-11 year olds to accelerate their development within Literacy and Numeracy
***Supporting Class Teachers across the school in class and by delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
***Supporting the learning of a diverse range of children across the school; some students will have SEN and EAL

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Felixstowe - Job Specification
You MUST be a graduate to be considered for this role. The role would perfectly suit a graduate who is considering a career within SEN or Primary Teaching and is looking to build experience working with children or young adults.
Preference will be given to graduates who have a 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree and also who have previous experience supporting the 4-11 age range either in a school setting or through University Placements, working with NCS, Youthwork, Tutoring or Summer Camps. The successful applicant must have GCSE Grades of C or above in English, Maths and Science.
Future Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, SEN Teachers or Probation Officers are encouraged to apply as this varied role will see you positively impacting the development of children and young adults from a diverse range of backgrounds.
About the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role
You must have the ability to maximise pupil progress and learning by confidently explaining the lesson content to pupils clearly and concisely. You will need to be able to think ahead and predict where your allocated students will need your support. Providing appropriate feedback and encouraging independent learning is essential in this Graduate Teaching Assistant role.
You will need to be a positive rolemodel who can foster a trusting environment so that pupils feel you are open to listening to them and helping to solve their problems. You will need to feedback effectively to the classteachers and SENCo regarding how the 1:1 and group sessions have gone so that activities can be differentiated for next time.
