About the Role
As a Science Teaching Assistant your role will involve you joining a particular department chosen based on your qualificiations and the school's needs. Preferring to train their own new teachers, the SLT often keep on their favourite supporting staff for the rest of their training through the School Direct programme. Working with students, either 1:1 or in groups, it will be up to you to ensure all pupils are progressing well and focussed on their lessons. Your responsibilities will include acquiring new skills on a regular basis as you learn from the different teachers in the school in this dynamic role. You will quickly learn what it takes to create an engaging lesson plan that meets the requirements of the curriculum as you assist the teacher with this task on a daily basis.
