The ideal candidate will be a determined Geography graduate who has already spent time working alongside the 11-16 age range. You will need to have a proven track-record of academic success that includes at least a 2:2 or better in your degree. The school would like to meet Geography Graduates who have a positive outlook, a love of their subject area and the desire and dedication required to pass their subject knowledge on to the next generation.
About the Geography Graduate – Academic Support – Job Role
In this Geography Graduate role, you will be working almost exclusively within the Humanities Department supporting Geography in class and through running small intervention groups. There is also the possibility that you will also be required to provide academic and pastoral support to SEN students across the school. In time, you could be given the opportunity to plan and deliver your own Geography lessons to give you a flavour of what life as a Geography Teacher will look like!
