Pupils have further associated behaviour difficulties such as ADHD, attachment disorder issues and challenging behaviour. Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant applicant will an experience and proven SEN support member of staff who can provide excellent referencing or a a calm and understanding graduate who has practice working with SEN. It is essential for the post of SEN Teaching Assistant you to possess a commitment to a career in education and a naturally inspiring personality.
About the Role for SEN Teaching Assistant
In this challenging but rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant position you will be working within a class of no more than 8 students assisting the teacher who will also act as your mentor. You will be able to rely on the full support of this Senior Teacher who will make sure you are enjoying life at the school and progressing well. Part of your SEN Teaching Assistant role will include supporting SEN pupils in particular and working outside the classroom in extra curricular activities. You shall be given the chance to lead small intervention classes designed to support pupils who struggle in the classroom.
