Person Specification- English/Maths/Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

We want to recruit a graduate who has the skills to have excellent levels of verbal and written communication and strong subject knowledge as well as the skills to motivate pupils. You will have the skills to show your passion for education and learning and strike up good working relations with your pupils. You should possess the desire to not just teach but also act as an effective role model to your students and an unstoppable drive to succeed as an English/Maths or science Graduate Teaching Assistant.
About the Role- English/Maths/Science Graduate Teaching Assistant
In this Learning Support Assistant position you will be;
• Working in different functions across the whole school and you will be assisting EAL pupils through school life.
• This English/Maths/Science Graduate Teaching Assistant position involves preparing content for lessons
• You will have the responsibility of joining a department that is popular amongst the pupils due to the excellent reputation of the teachers within it.
• As a English/Maths/Science Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be running smaller booster groups and specific individual sessions for pupils who are particularly bright or struggling to progress.
In general, you will be working towards a place on the School Direct program by exhibiting all the right characteristics and a proving you have what it takes to achieve you ambition and become a qualified teacher. Part of your role will include discovering the best approach to behavioural management and lesson delivery by paying close attention during your training and continual professional development sessions.
