English Graduate? Considering Teacher Training?

Calling all English Graduates who are excited to pursue a career as an English Teacher!

Having recently completed an English degree, are you now looking to pass on your love of English Language and Literature to the next generation?

Here at Edustaff, we help graduates to secure school-based experience for a full academic year, so they can make a fully informed decision regarding whether teaching is the career for them prior to applying for teacher training!

We are pleased to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking Ipswich based Secondary School who are looking to appoint a talented English Graduate who can provide effective support within their English department throughout this coming academic year:

***English Graduate required for an expanding secondary school in Ipswich
***Role commences from September 2019
***English Teaching Assistant/Academic Mentor/English Intervention Tutor/English Instructor
***£65 - £88 per day (dependent on role)
***Long Term, Full-Time English Graduate post
***You MUST hold an English based degree with a 2:2 or above
***Ideal for aspiring English Teachers looking for additional school experience
***English Teacher Training potential from September 2020

The successful English Graduate Teaching Assistant will have a passion for English that they are eager to share with others. You do not need to have any previous experience working in a school-based environment as training and support is provided however any previous experience working with the 11-16 age range would be advantageous.
The successful English Graduate Teaching Assistant will be motivated to start a career as an English Teacher and would benefit and appreciate a year working within an English department to strengthen their knowledge of lesson planning, lesson delivery, behaviour management, marking and assessment.

As an English Graduate you will initially start out as a Teaching Assistant whilst getting to grips with the school’s processes and policies. You will be communicating topics to students on a 1:1 basis; helping them to overcome any barriers to learning. In time, you will be tasked with planning and delivering your own small group intervention sessions with the ultimate aim of leading your own lessons prior to the end of the placement. You will be allocated a mentor who will support you throughout your time at the school.

Having completed this role for an academic year, there will be opportunities to explore remaining at the school and commencing your teacher training from September 2020.

Please send us your CV if you are interested in this English Graduate position. This secondary school is very excited to find the right fit for their forward-thinking environment in Ipswich - if you have any further question or queries surrounding this position, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Edustaff today.

Please note: due to the volume of English Graduate applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
