This school is looking for an industrious English graduate who has earned at least a 2:2 in their degree and has previously worked in a school-based role. The hired English Academic Mentor will show they can thrive in a school setting whilst building a strong rapport with both staff and pupils. As an English Academic Mentor, you will have eloquent communication skills and the desire to take on extra responsibilities whilst displaying a real interest in education.
English Academic Mentor Role
The successful English Academic Mentor will become a valued part of the English department; leading small group sessions and mentoring students on a 1:1 basis to provide personalised tutoring on core areas of the curriculum. As an English Academic Mentor, you will have the opportunity to allocate time in your schedule to help plan and run some of the school’s extracurricular activities allowing you to build on many vital teaching skills. You will be allowed to develop and progress your career through the wide-ranging CPD program that is on offer to all staff whilst having the full support of a committed and friendly ‘Outstanding’ Teacher who will make sure you are enjoying life at the school and progressing well.
