***Long Term/Interim, Full-Time post until the end of the academic year
***£65 - £88 per day
***English Teacher training routes could be available from September 2020
***You must hold a degree in English and have achieved a 2:2 or higher
Having achieved a 2:2 or above in your degree, you are now considering a career in teaching. To be successful in this role you should demonstrate a passion for working with young people, a desire to teach and a can-do attitude. We are particularly keep to meet with graduates who have had some previous experience working with children and young people but this is not essential.
As an English Academic Mentor, you will be joining a committed and friendly English department to help support the learning of students within English from year 7-11. As an English Academic Mentor, your days will be varied and made up of a number of different responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and on occasions to lead whole classes.
This is a growing school with a supportive senior leadership team who will be there to support you through your time in this English Academic Mentor position. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to progress onto ITT with the school if that is the route you decide to take
