Engineering Graduate - Instructor - Job Description
Joining the school on a full-time basis as an Engineering Instructor, you will thrive in the classroom as you get a real insight into what life as a Teacher looks like. Working initially under the guidance of an Assistant Principal you will be delivering pre-planned lessons within the DT/Engineering department. You will be required to deliver the lessons in an engaging and creative way to captivate and retain the attention of the students. You will also need a patient, positive outlook and be able to stay calm and composed in when challenging situations arise.
This Engineering Instructor role requires the successful graduate to be confident presenting engaging lesson content to full classes of students across KS3/KS4. Previous experience tutoring/mentoring is welcomed although support and coaching will be provided by the school.
During the periods where there is not the requirement for you to lead classes within Design Technology, you will be utilised within other departments across the school such as Maths, working with students on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis to support and accelerate their learning.
