Our client Braintree school are looking to appoint within their DT department. The successful graduate must have a specialism within Resistant Materials and have the desire to teach in a secondary school environment.
Putting your knowledge to the test and utilising your degree to its full potential, you will jump straight into a full-time teaching assistant role, joining a successful and well-equipped DT department.
This Teaching Assistant role will see you working alongside the experienced DT teachers as well as bringing your own fresh approach to the classroom. With the DT department having all the up to date facilities you will make sure all the students have a great understanding of the health and safety procedures and are fully trained to use the machinery as well as giving clear and precise demonstrations.
As a Resistant Materials graduate you will be keen to explore different styles of teaching and able to adapt these accordingly to the students and their ability.
The appointed Teaching Assistant will be supported throughout their role by the small but fantastic network of teachers in the department. You will also be enrolled onto the schools CPD training, which is led by a strong SLT.
