The Early Years Teacher Person Specification
For the school to continue their remarkable recent success, they will be looking to bring in an experienced Early Years Teacher; someone who has been graded at least 'Good' in their recent teaching observations and who brings prior experience working in an Inner London school setting! If you also bring a caring, nurturing nature to the classroom as well as superb organisational skills and a drive to see your students succeed, then you have the core ingredients required to be a hit at this excellent school! Does that sound like you…?

The Early Years Teacher Role
Students in the local area are underprivileged, and as such the role of the Early Years Teacher will be to not only integrate students in to school life, but also to help nurture and develop their social skills as well. This Early Years Teacher position will see you creating an environment where all children can achieve well and develop before heading in to Key Stage 1! Work directly with a strong Early Years Teaching Assistant, and hold regular meetings with the SLT to discuss progress within the Early Years offering. The Head Teacher quite rightly feels that the Early Years phase is crucial to the success of the school, so you will be given full support and guidance throughout your role, as well as access to their CPD program! Sound good...?

The School
This truly excellent Primary school, based in North Greenwich, has been rated most recently as ‘Outstanding in all areas’ by Ofsted! It's a very multicultural environment due to its underprivileged local contingent, and as such this stand-out school is regularly oversubscribed due to its success and recent history of turning struggling pupils in to excellent members of the local society. This is largely due to a very committed Leadership team headed up by a superb Head Teacher, who has overseen massive levels of improvement in her time, from Early Years through to Year 6! Once a school in trouble, it has had a complete overhaul of practices, codes of behaviour, and targets, and now sits as one of the top performers in the region; a perfect place for a skilled Early Years Teacher to make a difference!
