The right candidate will be a versatile graduate who has achieved a grade of 2:1 or above in their degree and has already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children. The perfect candidate will be able to demonstrate how passionate they are about working closely with children with SEN who can display related challenging behaviour. The school needs a graduate who has the charisma to build relationships quickly and a calm approach to disruptions and problems.
About the Role
In this Behaviour Mentor post, you will be joining the school in a general role, not assigned to any particular class or department and you will be keeping up the school's ethos of inspiring pupils and motivating them to want to believe they can achieve should they try their best and dream big enough! You will be working with several pupils across KS2 who can struggle at times with their behaviour, finding it difficult to cope with certain aspects of school routines. They need someone who can listen, but someone who can be firm when required.
