Speech and Language Teaching Assistant - Job Specification:
Our client school is looking for a passionate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to work in the SEN hub at their fully inclusive Primary School. You will be a graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 degree preferably that is based around Linguistics/Communication/Speech and Language. You will preferably have previous classroom experience or experience within a tutoring/mentoring role.
A calm, patient and dedicated personality is an absolute must in this role!
About the Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role:
As part of this year long post, you will work under the guidance of an experienced SENCO to manage the learning of pupils at the school who have speech and language needs. You will be planning and delivering speech and language interventions. The appointed LSA will be working closely with other members of the SEN department so the ability to develop effective working relationships is essential. You will be supporting the pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
