About the Role:
In this exciting 1:1 SEN graduate Teaching Assistant position, which would be well suited to an aspiring teacher or education related specialist. You will be working primarily on an individual basis with a student either in KS1 or KS2, depending on where your skill set is best suited to. The students have been identified as on the Autism Spectrum and respond effectively to those who can explore innovative approaches to engaging them further into their education and the day to day teaching. If you have previous experience of working with similar students and are team teach trained, with a passion to effectively support SEN students then this role is for you! You will be working with a team of highly experienced and skilled SEN coordinator and SEN support specialists, who will be on hand to offer guidance and support to you from your first day to the last.
The ideal candidate for this 1:1 SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant in either KS1 or KS2 you will be a determined graduate who already has experience supporting SEN or more specifically children with ASD, and Team Teach trained. The ability to engage pupils in the learning process is key and therefore you should be open and adept at exploring different teaching styles and techniques. The perfect candidate will be able to step up to the plate and take a lead in the classroom from the word "go", enjoying the responsibility for the pupil's learning as well as their social and emotional development. You must be tenacious and determined, with the drive to overcome challenges and obstacles to learning through clear thinking and positivity.
