Rarely do I read a teaching blog that speaks so passionately about mathematics – a subject many teachers have trouble bringing alive for their students. Mr Collins, however, is so enthusiastic about maths that his teaching blogs are both engaging and inspirational. Reading his most recent blog is a good example of what to expect from his articles. Through his clear descriptions of complicated topics for maths students in years 9 to 11, Mr Collins will raise engagement and understanding in even the most reluctant students.
His maths blog is just one small part of Mr Collins’ internet offering and I urge any maths teachers to take a look at his YouTube channel, which includes a fantastic video where he is dressed as X-Men’s Wolverine, his @mrpcollins Twitter profile, and his other blog site Mr Collins’ Reflective Journal.
