Teaching Assistant – graduate required for large primary school for September

This large primary is looking for a new member to join their team and progress their career in education.

This role is open to graduates who have already completed their degree or those who are graduating this year and does not require any schools experience, however you must have a
keenness to pursue a career in primary teaching.

***Primary Teaching Assistant starting September 2017
***£14,135 actual salary working 33 hours, term time only
***Progressive primary located in Swindon
***Must be confident and willing to get involved
***1 year contract role with opportunity to move on to teacher training
***Excellent ongoing training


Primary Teaching Assistant Person Specification

*Hard working, prepared to get involved in all aspects of school life
*A graduate who wants to support primary education as a Teaching Assistant
*A committed and thoughtful Teaching Assistant who can naturally lead
*You should be able to find new and creative ways to explore the curriculum

You will be a responsible graduate who has the skills and personality to develop strong bonds with others. As a Teaching Assistant, you should possess strong communicative skills that will allow you to approach all learners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to hit the ground running and be hands on with any problems encountered. You will be a graduate who can use your attentiveness to understand certain situations and demonstrate empathy where required.


Primary Teaching Assistant Role Overview

*As a Teaching Assistant, you will lead small groups and one to one interventions
*Supporting the class teacher, creating a strong knowledge of phonics
*Deciding on goals/aims for the week with your core group of pupils and achieving them
*Getting involved in planning and developing work as you progress through the academic year
