This role is only suited for an Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor who possesses the knowledge and expertise needed to support a high needs learner with a diagnosis of ADHD and who has significant learning difficulties.
If you are a highly skilled Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor, who is able to manage the needs of a complex learner with violent tendencies and is at times a risk to themselves and others then this may be the new challenge you have been seeking!
My client school are a large forward thinking, supportive SEN/PMLD provision who offers all it’s staff onsite training and mentoring to support all staff working with learners who present with complex, profound and multiple learning needs.

Person Specification for Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor
For this role, you need to be able to work in a challenging SEN setting. The school would like you have knowledge of working with Makaton/PECs and have some experience of safe handling. As an Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor you will have an empathetic and caring approach and have a good understanding of SEND practices.
About the Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor Role
This post requires an exceptional Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor who is able to work unsupervised with a female KS2 learner, who needs constant supervision due to physical outbursts. You will also need to be empathetic to her needs in terms of working with her in a way she is able develop a social emotional understanding. As Experienced Learning/Behaviour Mentor you should have the capability to fully interact with teachers and her family on a regular basis to maintain her behaviour and support plan.
