My client school is an Outstanding Primary school located in the borough of Islington. The Head Teacher is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to start this January to work full time until the end of the academic year.

This is an ideal position for a graduate looking to develop your knowledge and experience ahead of your teaching training or Educational Psychology. Your role will see you work 1:1 with a KS2 boy with special educational needs. You will be working in class alongside another TA and with small groups also but specifically facilitating the needs of this 1 child.
My client school is located in central London 5 minutes walk from the nearest tube station on the Piccadilly line. This is a long-term agency contract starting this January until July 2013. This post is perfect if you have a notice period to adhere to…!!
You will be required to work 1:1 with a child; a role which will require diligence, loyalty and motivation. Candidates that have previous experience working within special needs will have a stronger position when applying.
The school and leadership team is rated as Outstanding by OFSTED and have created a very warm and welcoming school within a culturally diverse area of London. The school is larger than most schools and cater for a full spectrum of pupils both ethnically and academically. The school have worked hard to ensure that all pupils abide by the schools rules and because of these strategies are respectful of their peers and teachers alike.
