Your role will be working as a KS1, years 5-7, teacher for a class of 7-8 pupils with Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The Special Needs of the pupils in this class would make a lengthy document, but to list a few; Downs Syndrome, Low Functioning Autism (ASD), Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Non verbal, Global Delay, Speech & Language, etc…

You will received the support of an experienced team and have at least 2 full time teaching assistants in the class with you at all times, in addition to this there will be Speech & Language, Occupational, Behavioural and Sensory Therapists from the Borough who work closely on the Individual Education Plans of each pupil.

There is no doubt that this will be a challenging and demanding role… but for the right candidate this could be a great opportunity to learn from an established and creative team of educational professionals.

The school is a beacon in a economically deprived and disenfranchised community. The area suffers from high unemployment and expectations are low. Despite these factors the leadership team have built a tremendous team who believe that these children deserve the best possible provision… could this be the school for you???

If it is… please email your CV to Phil at Edustaff NOW!!!

Only experienced and seasoned teachers will be considered for this post due to the responsibilities and needs of the children.
