Based just to the South of the M6, within the Lea of Coventry, this 2 form entry Primary school are seeking to appoint an outstanding nursery teacher to join their team of Staff. This nursery teacher post due to commence in September 2012 is that of a full time nursery teacher, initially for 2 terms. The role is to cover a maternity leave, though there is the possibility of a permanent post upon successful completion of the 2 term contract.

The school is located just 5 miles to the North of Coventry city centre, and has recently produced excellent results in SATS. The school produces excellent value added scores and has a track record in developing and educating their pupils to a high standard. Expectations are set high at the school, of both staff and pupils and you will be expected to embrace the schools ethos.

As the nursery class teacher you will take charge of a class of 28 pupils of mixed ability, who come from a diverse socio-economic background. You will be required to teach all aspects of the national curriculum and will be given free reign to set out your class as you want and produce you own displays. You will be provided with support in the classroom by an experienced level 3 teaching assistant. Planning at the school is done in year groups teams and your PPA time will be taken concurrently with the existing nursery teacher, an experienced member of staff who has been at the school for the last 5 years.
