Year 1 Teacher

Do you hold QTS, and have a desire to be a year 1 teacher? Are you an excellent year 1 classroom practitioner? Do you have the belief and vision to help each year 1 pupil under your care achieve their potential? Do you have good classroom management skills and the ability to engage and enthuse year 1 pupils within a primary setting?

My client are looking for Year 1 Teacher for a September start, who have the long term vision and drive to support a New Head Teacher who has a strong vision for the future and the determination, will and ability to succeed in delivering on their targeted aim of making the school amongst the best in the City of Coventry.

Having recently been appointed to the role of Head Teacher at this large 2 form entry primary school, this exceptional, inspirational Head Teacher is now looking to appoint an outstanding year 1 classroom practitioner to help implement and reinforce the plans and schemes that will move this school to the next level in terms of performance. You will be passionate about teaching year 1 pupils, committed to ensuring each pupil achieves to their potential, with high standards of both yourself, your year 1 pupils and your colleagues and with outstanding knowledge of the year 1 curriculum.

The successful candidate for the Year 1 Teacher role will be required to teach all subject of the year 1 curriculum and should have a proven track record of strong results in end of year exams or previous SATS. The school is found in a deprived are of Coventry close to the city centre, however pupils are encouraged in their learning through positive reinforcement and incentive schemes, though strong classroom management is a must.

The school are housed in a purpose built school which contains state of the art facilities and provide staff and pupils with unrivalled equipment to support and enhance teaching and ensure that the pupils of this primary school are able to achieve to the best of their ability.

The school have an excellent support network in place, and teachers are given every opportunity to develop their skills and abilities by senior management. The successful teacher will have a permanent full time teaching assistant in class to support them, as well as a specialist TA supporting a pupil with a full statement.
