My clients Schools in Birmingham is looking for two enthusiastic, inspirational and motivated individuals to work as Learning Support Assistant on a full time long-term contract.

Ideally you will have previous experience working with pupils who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Challenging behaviour, however they will also consider Graduates who are interested in becoming Speech & Language Therapist, or Educational Psychologist in the future.

All pupils have a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome (AS) or high functioning autism and/or semantic pragmatic disorder. Some pupils may have a diagnosis of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) Syndrome. A wide range of ability levels may be expected along with a diversity of challenging attributes.

The school itself has excellent facilities, plus a dedicated and vibrant team of teachers and support staff.

Your main duties will be working across Secondary Education in a class of no more than 9 students, working in groups with a class teacher and other LSAs, but there will also be times when you will be required to work 1:1.
