From September my client Academy based in North West London is looking to appoint a number of TAs. They are looking for Graduates who are committed to becoming a secondary Teacher in the next few years, and need experience as a TA.

This all through Academy opened as recent in 2008, last year they moved in to a 'Brand New' high tech design school, and also had their first Ofsted inspection and were graded 'Outstanding'. The school has a distinct ethos, which is to make sure that every child has the chance of a fantastic education and the opportunity of going to University!

Being in a brand new building, the school has excellent resources including interactive whiteboards in every class, a large dining hall, individual classrooms per each faculty, large outdoor play areas, fantastic state of the Art Gym, 3 high tech ICT Suites and a well resourced Library with Librarian.

In September 2010 the school took its first intake of Year 7 students, and over the next 5 years will expand until it has all year groups up to Year 11. Every year the school will grow by four forms, and every year the school faculty will expand. From September there will only be 2 year groups at the school, Year 7 & 8. With this in mind, you will have the chance of working within every department of the school, if you're an English, Mathematics or Science graduate then you will work in the respective Department!

The Role
To support pupils, parents, teachers, and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make good academic progress.

Key responsibilities
Support to individuals and groups of pupils to help them learn. Support to teachers, parents and other colleagues to help create an effective, safe and purposeful learning environment.

Personal Characteristics
You must be an enthusiastic Graduate, have a genuine passion and a belief in the potential of every pupil, be hhelpful, positive, calm and caring nature, be able to establish good working relationships with other LSAs and teachers, able to follow instructions accurately but make good judgments and lead when required and have the mmotivation to continually improve standards and achieve excellence.
