| Anna is a creative Nursery and Reception teacher with outstanding referencing, thanks to her excellent performance. Early Years practitioners who worked with Anna say that “she [Anna] is an ambitious, organised and dedicated teacher. She is eager to learn new teaching techniques and participate in CDP. Her inspiring disposition and ability to motivate others drives outstanding results.” One of the coordinators from the Learning Trust describes Anna as: “Anna shows real passion and enthusiasm in nurturing talents; Anna is growing so fast!” The leadership and management teams in her current position are very impressed with Anna's ability in creating a visually stimulating environment and interactive displays. Anna has been preparing challenging lesson planning by taking into consideration of different ability groups and to meet the curriculum objectives and pupils' learning needs. She has proven her strengths in teaching SEN and EAL pupils. The Head Teacher from her current setting, who recently observed her Literacy and Phonics session, describes “her [Anna] planning takes account of the range of learning styles and use of exaggerated facial and vocal expressions, which create a very lively and inspiring atmosphere in a class.” She has track record in working within teams and when necessary rely on her own initiatives to achieve common goals. The Behaviour Management Team at Learning Trust has congratulated Anna in an observation statement for the best practice of SEAL, AFL, Pupil Voice and ECM. Gita D | Primary School Teaching , Key Stage 2 |
| Gita is an extremely experienced and ambitious British trained teacher who is always ready and willing to take on new challenges. She has worked with a large range of developmental, social, religious, ethnic, cultural and linguistic influences and has adapted her teaching to include all learners, leading her to gain a good knowledge of differentiation strategies. Gita's classroom observations have been rated from ‘good' (2010), has also been described as someone who “incorporates drama and real-life learning in all lessons”, “who manages the additional adults in her class extremely well”, and “has a positive and lively disposition which has developed a happy, focused and engaged classroom atmosphere”. Her invaluable and extensive strategies of teaching in Key Stage 1 and 2 in challenging schools has meant that her classes have always performed extremely well despite their low starting points because she has very high expectations of behaviour and learning for all her pupils. Jennifer Celand | Primary School Teaching , Foundation Stage |
| Early Years/ KS1 Teacher Jennifer trained in Early Years and taught in this phase for a subsequent 3 years, consistently receiving positive feedback from lesson observations. She then went on to teach in Year 1 for 2 years, where she has continued to develop her teaching skills. This progression has given her good insight into the steps children take in their learning and how to support them on an individual and class basis. Jennifer has taught children with a range of abilities and barriers to learning. These have included autism, EAL, Speech and Language problems, partial sight and hearing and emotional and behavioural difficulties. She has proven to be highly capable of planning to deliver appropriately differentiated lessons, both on a daily and longer term basis. From her extensive experience of working with children in education and care settings, Jennifer has acquired an excellent knowledge of children's' emotional needs and how these can best be met. This knowledge is being further developed by her current MA degree studies in Emotional factors in Learning and Teaching. In the classroom, Jennifer helps children to deal with their feelings in a way that allows them to feel safe, valued and motivated in their own learning. She is also a highly reflective practitioner, who constantly strives to adapt learning situations and provide a high quality learning environment for all children. | Katie Coady: “Very Good” Year 1 to Year 6 Teacher NQT Upon completing her final teaching practice, Katie was graded as a “Very Good” classroom practitioner. During her placement, she received weekly observations from both her Class Teacher Mentor and the Deputy Headteacher- continually receiving very positive feedback. Katie has now passed all the criteria provided by her training provider, St Mary's University Twickenham, rated as “outstanding” by OFSTED 2011 for Primary Education. She has had experience in a range of different schools across Hampshire, Surrey and Essex and has worked across the Key Stages in EYFS, Year 3 and Years 5/6 on her final practice. Katie's final practice enabled her to gain significant experience of SATS testing and working with children who have Special Educational Needs including Dyslexia. Her mentors recognised her ability to form good relationships with all members of the School Community and commented that:” she formed very good relationships with the Year 5/6 department, as well as with all other staff at the School.” They also go on to state that:” during departmental planning sessions, she offered ideas generously and was always fully involved.” Katie is able to plan progressively and her subject knowledge had been noted as “excellent.” During her placement, she was able to become actively involved in the assessment of core subjects and her Class Teacher Mentor stated that:” she was able to use formative assessment to set targets for next step improvements in the children's learning and understand how to use the link between the assessment for learning and the assessment for teaching.” As a French specialist, Katie had the opportunity to teach English as a Foreign Language in January 2011. She is passionate about children learning a Foreign Language and can deliver MFL lessons actively. In addition, Religious Education is her other specialism and therefore she is able to offer a range of extra curricular activities. In conclusion, her final placement tutor comments that Katie is “professional, flexible and committed to honing her skills in preparation for her future role as Class Teacher. She demonstrates a clear capacity to become an outstanding teacher in the future.” |

Cara H | Primary School Teaching , Key Stage 1 |
| Cara is a superb classroom practitioner who delivers creative and stimulating lessons within the Foundation Stage and KS1. This skill encourages pupils to fully engage in their learning and reach their full potential. It has been noted on all of Cara's School Experiences that she creates a very calm atmosphere that elicits good behaviour from the children. Cara is confident in the use of ICT, in which she used regularly during her teaching practices to support the children's learning. Additionally Cara has a good knowledge of all subjects in the curriculum with particular interests in P.E and EAL. She has a passion for languages and would like to support EAL learners in the School she will work in. Her assignments were all focused on teaching and supporting children whose English is an additional language all at Masters Level. Cara frequently used the outdoor environment on her teaching practices to enhance the delivery of her lessons and has acquired a great deal of experience in assisting the Forest School's scheme. Cara has had numerous years of experience working with children in diverse catchment areas and knows the importance of professional collaboration and team work to support the children. She has worked with a range of outside organisations such as; social workers, speech and language therapists, Educational physiologists, nurses, CAMHS, NSPCC coordinators and Behaviour Support teams. Cara is committed to making a positive contribution to the education of every child that she comes into contact with and she firmly embraces the principles behind the government's Every Child Matters initiative. Likewise she is also committed to forming secure, positive relationships with staff, pupils, families and local community and this is highlighted in her School Experience reports. Cara is an extremely reflective teacher and is always willing to take on new challenges with a willingness to acquire new skills. |

| Sarah – Reception or Year 1 Sarah is an ambitious and highly motivated teacher who achieved QTS and BA (hons) in Primary Education specialising in Early Childhood Education a year ago. To gain more experience in the classroom she has been working as a supply teacher in the North of England ever since. This has enabled Sarah to be confident and competent at teaching in every year group and has also highlighted her passion for working in the Early Years. One aspect of the Early Years that Sarah is incredibly passionate about is the use of the outdoor area to promote learning, she believes that using the outdoor environment on a daily basis engages children and aids their holistic development. She stood out to a previous Headteacher she worked with as a fantastic team player ‘(Sarah) has built positive relationships with both pupils and staff and she has worked well as part of a team.' Sarah has experience working with children with various barriers to learning including Special Educational Needs and English as an additional language and is able to incorporate every child's specific needs in to lesson to ensure her classroom is an inclusive and engaging environment. She is also confident at using different learning styles and differentiating through task and outcome. Sarah has worked in small community schools as well as multicultural city schools and also a school dedicated to children with severe physical barriers to learning. She has the ability to adapt to new challenges, having lived in both Spain and America for numerous years. Sarah is also passionate about sport, especially football and has recently been appointed head coach at a local football team. |

Adam F | Primary School Teaching , Key Stage 2 |
| During his first placement at Cuckoo Hall Academy, he was identified as having 'high potential' and invited to join the 'Challenge workshop' at the Institute of Education - for those students on course to gain 'good' or 'outstanding' for the PGCE Primary. In his final placement, his supervision tutor remarked that his files 'provide a great deal of evidence demonstrating how he has continued to meet QTS standards'. At the time of writing, his supervision tutor has recommended to the Exam Board that for his final school placement he be awarded an 'outstanding' for Professional Attributes and Professional Knowledge and Understanding, and a 'good' for Professional Skills. Written feedback on lesson observations across his teaching practices in Yr 3 and 5 classes has been very positive and have shown how he has continued to build on his numerous strengths which include behaviour management, subject knowledge, organistaion and planning. Adam's experiences as a Learning Support Assistant, a swimming teacher, and a trainee teacher have prepared him well for a primary teaching role in London. He enjoys working in multicultural settings and working with EAL, SEN children, as well as children of all different backgrounds. Adam is passionate about teaching and will work hard to ensure that the needs of each and every child are met. Additionally, he understands the importance of professional development and is looking to complete his Masters at the Institute of Education in the near future. |
