Nusrat Qaissar Secondary School Teaching , Science
Highly motivated with four years of teaching secondary science, Nusrat is an outstanding classroom practitioner with wide ranging experience in key stage three and four development. She has excellent behaviour management skills and has taught across the age range and ability, ranging from SEN, to EAL from BTEC to triple GCSE science. In her second year of teaching Nusrat was given the role of KS3 coordinator which she successfully fulfilled. Nusrat has provided provisions in science for less able pupils, analysed data to target specific students which has allowed her to introduce a mentoring and support program across the whole school with the intent to raise attainment. Nusrat has developed partnerships with local feeder schools through delivering a tailored project to potential new students; she also has experience of running science summer schools, working to develop community cohesion, and mentoring PGCE students. Nusrat has recently implemented a programme which allows students to self-evaluate and develop their own assessment for learning. Nusrat has taken the advice of her head of department to look for a new challenge and that if she relocates then then it should be to progress up the career ladder she is a strong dynamic individual looking to enhance and bring new ideas to the table; she is keen to raise the profile of science in school and will definitely work hard to make it achievable.

Sonal S Secondary School Teaching , Mathematics
Sonal is an enthusiastic and energetic individual specialising in teaching Mathematics Key stage 3-5. She is flexible and highly organised which ensures consistently high standards in delivering her lesson plans. She quickly establishes an inclusive, supportive and respectful learning environment which allows her pupils to build on their knowledge whilst facilitating their own learning. She is encouraging and patient and her primary objective is to improve the effectiveness of her pupils as learners. Sonal quickly develops excellent rapport with pupils, colleagues, staff members and parents. Sonal has just successfully completed her PGCE for Secondary Mathematics at Kent & Medway Training during which she taught in 2 schools; a grammar school and an academy. She gained a valuable teaching experience in key areas including behaviour management, lesson planning and assessment. She always demonstrated effective intervention strategies (challenge and reward) and proficient communication skills. In the classroom, Sonal is able to explain difficult mathematical concepts in a manner which the pupils are able to follow and understand. She commands the respect and interest of children using a variety of media and methods to teach and inspire learning, whilst expecting and maintaining a high level of discipline from the pupils. Sonal graduated achieving a first class degree in BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Finance at City University London, showing strong understanding, knowledge and application of mathematics.
