Candidate Testimonials
I signed up with Edustaff and from the word GO, my agent and the company were productive, fully committed and supportive in finding the 'right' school for me. I was so impressed with my agent and how everything was organised. I was given lots of help on the interview preparation. Edustaff were friendly, very professional and what I value most about Edustaff is their honesty. This was important to me as many agencies that I had been with weren't. I would thoroughly recommend Edustaff to anyone looking for the right school or teaching position for them as I am now set to embark in my first teaching position at an outstanding school and I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you Edustaff and especially to my hard working agent Nigel Horne.

Following early termination of a contract, I rang Edustaff late one Thursday afternoon. By the end of Friday, they had secured two interviews for me for the following week. I have been offered and accepted a post from one of these! Even while I was waiting for decisions from these interviews, the team continued their mission to find me a placement. Edustaff is a dedicated and professional team who worked hard to ensure that my ethos and experience were perfectly matched to that of the school.
Suzanne K. - Primary Teacher - Uphall Primary, Redbridge
I knew from speaking on the phone to staff for the first time that Edustaff would be able to offer me the friendly, professional and efficient agency I was looking for. After having a friendly and informative chat when I registered with Edustaff, they quickly found me interviews with schools which they knew would suit me. After going for two interviews, I was offered both positions and was lucky enough to choose which I thought would be the 'right' school for me. The team at Edustaff were very supportive during the whole interview process from beginning to the end and have even been in touch since accepting my new position in September. I would thoroughly recommend Edustaff to anyone looking for a friendly and professional company, with a particular thank you to Jonathan Sammons who was agent throughout the process.

Signing up with Edustaff teaching recruitment agency has been one of the, if not the most, wisest career stepping stones thus far. I had wasted invaluable time helplessly looking around for teaching placements in Secondary Schools around my local borough, until Edustaff was suggested to me by a close friend. From Wayne to Jonathan, Edustaff have been determined in finding the best suitable working placement for current graduates, with the likes of me and fellow TA colleagues at ******* School, Lewisham. It has been such an amazing experience that I don't want to leave. In all honesty, I HIGHLY recommend Edustaff to all newly qualified graduates with prospects on becoming esteemed Teachers. Thanks a million, Edustaff, especially Jonathan Sammons and Wayne Phillips.
Jermaine. C - Current English Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, Lewisham.
Since
graduating in June had I spent hours trawling through job sites and newspapers
looking for teaching assistant work to aid my application to a Dance GTP in
2011, with little luck. However, in late August I stumbled across Edustaff who
were recruiting for the position of -Teaching Assistant with Dance' in a
Secondary School. After sending in my CV I was invited to interview with
Jonathan Sammons on a Thursday, by the Friday I was visiting my School and on
Monday morning I was in my new role! Much to my delight the Head Teacher
informed Jonathan and myself that they intend to renew my contract next September
as a Graduate Teacher! Jonathan told me this news over the phone and was just
as excited as I was about this new development. Thanks to Edustaff I am well on
my way to becoming a qualified teacher. Jonathan could not have been more
helpful in the run up to me starting my job, and I would defiantly recommend
Edustaff, particularly to graduates looking for school experience. Already, I
am gaining vital experience preparing me for my Teacher training next year.
Thank you to Jonathan and Edustaff for your hard work and dedication.

Edustaff are
a professional and hard-working agency. They were determined to help me find a
suitable position at a school that was within my distinct set of criteria.
Within a week of signing up with them, I had a job in a great school near to
where I live. My agent, Jonathan Sammons, has managed my placement with great skill
and endless energy. I have recommended Edustaff to several of my friends who
were also seeking employment in teaching, and I wouldn't hesitate in suggesting
them to others.
Tom Watts - Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School,
Lewisham.
Having recently graduated I found myself with thousands of others
looking for work in a school before applying for teacher training. It was a
really struggle to find work even though I had previous experience. It was only
once I had signed up with Edustaff that things began to happen. I felt
that my agent Jonathan Sammons had a really clear idea of who I was and
what I could give to a school. I felt that he was genuinely interested in me
and making sure I ended up in the right school for me. The lines of communication
were always open and I felt that I was always kept up to date. Because of
Edustaff I am now in a fantastic school and gaining exactly
the right experience I need for applying to train to be a teacher, and
I believe this year will make me a better educator in the future. I would
highly recommend Edustaff.

J - Cover Supervisor/Curriculum Support Assistant - Secondary School,
Wandsworth.
I was given the contact for Edustaff from a
contact at school. I was in a difficult and quite stressful position as my
contract was going to terminate at the end of term, and at the time, I was only
left with 6 weeks to find another position. My agent, Nigel Horne, was
absolutely great. Him, and the company, were extremely proactive, friendly and
fully committed to finding me a suitable job. Within a short period of time,
Nigel was able to put me in touch with the right school for me, one that I have
been appointed at as a deputy headteacher. Everything was organised on my
behalf and support was given on interview techniques and possible questions to
think about. I would most definitely recommend Edustaff to anyone looking for a
school position. I am sincerely grateful to Nigel and the team for turning this
stressful process into one now that I will truly remember.

Having been involved in music making and
composition all my life I decided that before embarking on a professional
career as a composer I wanted to devote myself to teaching music, especially to
students from a deprived background like the one I came from and had to
overcome to obtain a musical knowledge. I believe fervently that children of a
working class background deserve a first rate musical education, I am a first
rate composer and musician, have studied for more than ten years with Sir Peter
Maxwell Davies and Sir Michael Tippett. Having read the PGCE Music alongside
doing my MMUS, I started to look for the sort of school I felt my talents would
be best employed. The fantastic staff at EduStaff following very thorough
interviews in the summer found me a position at ****** Secondary School in
Lewisham, in a school which the student body were a multicultural mostly
deprived social status, a school which the new incumbent Head of the previous
two years has transformed the school from one on the brink of behavioural and
academic meltdown, into one which in its Ofsted in September 2010 was awarded
Good with Outstanding features. To be part of this schools new unique and
inspiring journey, courtesy of the hard work of Edustaff has completely altered
my life and set me on a journey with an awesome school which is getting a brand
new state of the art building in January 2011. Edustaff really made an effort
to find the right school to suit my teaching style and attitude. I am a no
nonsense person and they have placed me in a school with a Head Teacher who
himself is that, no nonsense, wants results, wants his school to push beyond
its sense of limits and to nurture in his staff and students alike a sense of
strength, academic quality and an ethos that is honest, kind but is firm and
acknowledges the teachers and students human dimensions. I am deeply grateful
to my case worker who found this position Jonathon Sammons because this
opportunity is the chance of a lifetime for me as a music teacher to give an
excellent music education to children who otherwise would not have even had the
choice or resources to even aspire to! If you are reading this and considering
becoming involved in Edustaff, all I can say is, do their interview process and
see just how professional and thorough they are because that is how tireless
they will work to find you the most suitable placement!!
John H. - Secondary Music Teacher - Secondary
School, Lewisham
I came across Edustaff when looking for NQT positions. A
consultation was arranged the day after I submitted an enquiry. Immediately I
felt at ease with all of the agents, and I was lucky enough to meet with three.
I was thoroughly impressed with the commitment they had to finding me a
permanent position I would enjoy. They found schools that I would enjoy working
in and that would be in a location I would find easy to travel to. Within a week
of my CRB being checked they set up two informal interviews, where I was
invited to apply. The third informal interview turned out to be my official
interview and I was observed the next week, and had the job by the end of the
same week (the same day I had a fourth official interview and observation). It
was an extremely easy process, and they saved me a lot of time and effort of
filling in applications and viewing schools. They saw and heard what I had to
offer and knew whether or not a school would suit me and if the school would
enjoy working with me.
I couldn't recommend Edustaff more strongly than
I do. Everyone looking for a teaching position should join. They found me a
wonderful school which I thoroughly enjoy teaching in. Thank you so much.
Dominique B. - Primary School Teacher - Primary
School Teacher, Lambeth
I heard about Edustaff from a friend of mine and they
highly recommended them to me, so I thought I'd give it a try on my pursuit to
further a career in the teaching profession. I gave them a call had a good
conversation with one of the agents and they were very quick to contact me back
on the same day and arrange an interview for the same week. I promptly received
email confirmation with details of what to bring with me, and very comprehensive
directions. When I arrived I was met by very friendly staff who gathered all
the necessary information and answered all of my questions to great detail.
They were extremely good at keeping me up to date with the processing of my
application and my details being forwarded to the schools that best suited me,
and within weeks I was placed in an excellent school, and it is going great, I
am really impressed with the service from all the staff and high level of care.
Absolutely Brilliant, they have really helped me to get a foot in. I highly
recommend them to anyone looking for a career in the teaching profession.
Matthew T. - Secondary School Teaching Assistant -
Secondary School, Lewisham
I signed up with Edustaff towards the end of the academic
year, just before the summer holidays commenced. At the time I was looking for
employment and applied to various different companies. Honestly, when September
came around I wasn't expecting to hear from EduStaff, this was not based on
their reputation but solely because it had been such a long time (after such an
extensive summer holiday). When I did hear from them it was a shock, not only
had I been remembered but they had also found an ideal secondary school for me.
It matched all my criteria; location, ethos, and possible career progression.
It has now been three months since I started my school and being here isn't
just my profession it's my passion. A HUGE Thank you Edustaff!
Kayne W. - Secondary Teaching assistant -
Secondary School, Lewisham
After what seemed an age trying to secure a position as
an LSA, I happened to see one of Edustaff's job postings online. I had limited
teaching experience, and none at all in a school environment. With a sense of
foreboding, and expecting another dead end, I gave them a call. It seems luck,
or fate, was on my side as I was connected to Jonathan Sammons, a senior
consultant who, I felt, asked the right questions and very swiftly understood
what I had to offer and what I was looking for. Within a week I had an interview;
within a fortnight I had a job! I am now Librarian at a South London school
and, as Jonathan recognised, it is a job I feel particularly suited to.
Throughout the process, Edustaff's team have been efficient, polite and
friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
